Did you know that Vietnamese tea culture is not only a traditional way of life but also a flow associated with our livelihoods, community memories, and regional identity? However, these precious values are facing the risk of erosion. Understanding this, MAITE is proud to be part of this meaningful journey to preserve and promote Vietnamese tea heritage!
The two-day event, filled with hundreds of moments, is an inspiring journey with activities including:
- July 4, 2025: Explore Vietnamese tea culture with unique tea brewing art performances, visit ecological product exhibitions, experience traditional handicrafts, and introduce new ecological tea initiatives.
- July 5, 2025: Workshop “From leaf to legacy: Cultural Pathways to Sustainability.”

This event marks a significant milestone in the 2025-2029 cooperation project between Imexco Vietnam and UNESCO.
This event demonstrates a collective effort to enhance the role of heritage in community development, encourage sustainable consumption practices, and create a platform for cooperation among artisans, businesses, and international organizations, with the participation of:
Mr. Tran Manh Hao, Chairman of Imexco Vietnam, shared: “Imexco always pursues the aspiration to promote the transformation of production and consumption towards sustainability, while raising consumer awareness of products and services that carry cultural value and are environmentally friendly. We believe this is the foundation for building sustainable national brands, enhancing the position of Vietnamese heritage, and bringing practical benefits to local communities.”
Mr. Jonathan Wallace Baker, UNESCO Representative to Viet Nam, also affirmed: “For UNESCO, heritage is not just for preservation, but also a foundation for community development. We are very proud to accompany Imexco to support artisans, women, and youth in Vietnamese tea regions to transform heritage into a resource for the future.”
Mr. Moro Renzo, Agricultural and Phytosanitary Expert – Representative of the Italian Embassy in Vietnam, shared about “Preserving Cultural Identity through Cuisine: Slow Food – A Path to Sustainable Development.”
Mr. Peter Debrine – Expert on Sustainable Tourism, UNESCO World Heritage Centre, also presented on “Perspectives on Tea Culture and Responsible Tourism.”
One of the project’s biggest goals is to build the Tea Cultural Space into a potential candidate for UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List!
Let’s join MAITE in spreading this meaningful message and working together to preserve and promote the value of Vietnamese tea heritage!
